Illuminate your Wild

In our search to belong we often attempt to define that belonging in absolute ways. We throw effort at new stories, parameters, and airtight definitions as we give up our old ones. Though our understanding somewhat deepens with each new discovery, our behavior often does not change in any measurable way. New thoughts, old modalities.

True belonging lives deep inside our own desires; a place which is inherently unique and therefore undefinable in any particular social way. It is not a checklist. It is often a wordless, sated hunger and contentment, and it is our wild place.

True belonging is relating that deep, unique, wild part of self to our social selves, as we explore our desires and our humanity together in community. It is being deeply seen and understood.

Wild Luminary seeks to throw light on our unique wildness. To tell the stories of others who have been there, and so may help us understand how to seek out and live in our own unique wild places.

For in these wild places we will find our belonging, and our joy.
